We use the very well known Ramsay of Carluke's bacon ends in our Pea and Ham soup. The Ramsays are one of Rick Stein's Food Heroes- and their smoked bacon really adds a strong, tasty base for this real winter warmer.
We use a mixture of green and yellow split peas, amd simmer for hours on the hob with Ramsay's bacon and a little onion. This is a real family favourite and one of the first flavours we did.
